The Twins and the Yankees are going to be facing each other again in this game. The last meeting between the teams took place on Friday night and seen the Yankees come out on top with a final score of 10-2. The Twins are now sitting on a 54-69 record on the year overall. The Yankees for their part are sitting on a 71-52 record on the season.

This year the Twins have managed to hit at a clip of .243 and have recorded 1006 hits. The Twins have scored a total of 567 runs and hit 174 homers, but have an OBP of .318 on the year. New York for their part has ended up with a .238 average and have hit a total of 960 hits. The Yankees have ended up with a total of 154 homers and scored 530 runs on the season, but have posted an OBP of .328.

Griffin Jax is projected to start the game for Minnesota. Jax has ended up with a 3-1 record and a 5.11 ERA. However, he has not thrown a lot on the year with only 44 innings pitched with 35 strikeouts, but has walked 15 batters and allowed 40 hits. Out of those hits Jax has ended up giving up 11 homers.

The Yankees are putting an even more inexperienced pitcher on the mound here in Luis Gil. Gil is coming here with a 1-0 record and a 0.00 ERA. Luis Gil has thrown a total of 15.2 innings on the year and struck out 18 batters, but has allowed 7 walks and 9 hits. Gil has not given up any homers on the year so far.

In the game here the Yankees are playing at home and are coming in with a better offense. The one thing that the Yankees may have trouble with is the fact that Gil has not thrown as much as Jax and Jax has actually done decent at times. With the 5.11 ERA, though, Jax will have some issues here as the Yankees are playing better offensively and will secure the win based off of their better offense. Final Score Prediction, New York Yankees win 7-3.
