Milwaukee Brewers at Washington Nationals 6/12/22 - MLB Picks & Predictions

In Sunday afternoon MLB action, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Washington Nationals will conclude their weekend series from the nation’s capital. The Brewers (33-28) are looking to snap an eight-game losing streak and have fallen 1.5 games behind NL Central Division leading St. Louis. 

Rookie right-hander Jason Alexander (0-0 2.25 ERA) will make his third career major league start for the Brewers. Through 12 innings of work, Alexander has recorded just four strikeouts and owns a subpar 1.58 WHIP.

The Washington Nationals are seven games below .500 at home and trying to claw out of the NL East Division cellar. On Saturday, embattled Washington SP Patrick Corbin (3-8) gave up four runs in six innings to earn the win. Nelson Cruz, Juan Soto, and Josh Bell all homered for the Nationals, who improved to 23-38 on the season. 

Washington manager Dave Martinez has yet to name a starting pitcher for this game. The Nationals are tied for last in the majors with a 5.33 team ERA and have logged just 11 quality starts.
