The Milwaukee Brewers play the second game of a three-game series on the road Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds. The Brewers are 33-26 following a 2-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday. Milwaukee is first in the National League Central a half-game ahead of second place Chicago. The Brewers swept Arizona in their four-game series and had Monday off before visiting Cincinnati on Tuesday.

Cincinnati was also off Monday and the Reds improved to 28-29 on Sunday with an 8-7 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. Cincinnati swept St Louis in its four-game series on the road at Busch Stadium. Cincinnati is fourth in the National League Central four games behind the first-place Milwaukee Brewers. The Reds have had good production at the plate with a team batting average of .249 that is fifth in baseball which has produced the eighth most runs with 282.

Outfielder Jesse Winker is the leader in home runs with 17 and right fielder Tyler Naquin is the leader in RBIs with 38. On Wednesday, Cincinnati will send Vladimir Gutierrez to the mound. The right-hander is 1-1 with an ERA of 2.70, 6 Ks and 5 BBs. 

Cincinnati is coming off an excellent performance on the road against the St Louis Cardinals. The Reds swept the Cardinals in St Louis in their four-game series, completing a sweep on the road over St. Louis for the first time in 21 seasons.
