The Milwaukee Brewers travel on the road to Guaranteed Rate Field to take on the Chicago White Sox. The White Sox are the hottest team in the MLB coming into this game having won 6 straight games after a slow initial start to the season. The White Sox swept the Brewers in a two-game series capped off with a 3-2 win and improving to 7-4 on the year. The Brewers fell to 3-5 on the season with the loss.

The White Sox are one of the most electric offenses in the MLB posting a team batting average of .284 while scoring 5.9 runs per game. The White Sox have 16 home runs this season, the most in the MLB this season. The White Sox are top to bottom arguably the best lineup in baseball; center fielder Luis Roberts is hitting .364 with 2 home runs, veteran first baseman Jose Abreu is hitting .286 with 8 RBIs.

The White Sox will send out Gio Gonzalez who has struggled a bit in his two appearances this season and comes in with a 7.36 ERA and has walked 4 and struck out 9 in 7 innings this season. Gonzales has a career ERA of 3.7 and strikes out 2.3 per every walk.

The Brewers have gotten off to a disappointing start at the plate batting just .212 as a team and averaging 3.2 runs per game. MVP candidate Christian Yelich could fall under some blame, Yelich has struck out in 16 of his 34 at-bats, is hitting a dismal .088 and has just one home run. Yelich hit .329 and 44 home runs last season. Lorenzo Cain, another big bat in the outfield from last years playoff team, decided to opt-out of the season due to COVID-19 concerns.

Starting pitcher for the Brewers is Josh Lindblom who has pitched just three innings and allowed three hits, striking out five and walking three. Lindblom’s ERA is 4.91 on the year and his career ERA is 4.12 over 9 years in the MLB, often bouncing between stints in the MLB and minor leagues.

The Brewers were forced to postpone games due to the Coronavirus and have yet to show any signs of life against the White Sox. The White Sox going back to their home park against a career fringe MLB bullpen guy with one of the deepest and most dangerous lineups in the MLB race to a victory. Gio Gonzalez has struggled early on this season but he begins to find his grove in this strange season. Final Score Prediction, Chicago White Sox win easy 7-3.
