Last Updated: 06/13/2022 at 11:22 PM ET

Citizens Bank Park will play host to a Tuesday night MLB clash between the Miami Marlins and the Philadelphia Phillies. The Marlins (27-32) have dropped 18 of their first 30 road games and are 11.5 games off the pace in the NL East Division race. Last night, Miami SS Miguel Rojas had two hits and drove in a pair of runs during a 3-2 road loss against Philadelphia.

Twenty-four year old lefty Trevor Rogers (3-5 5.58 ERA) has struggled to find consistency for the Marlins. In his last start, Rogers allowed two runs in five innings during a 7-4 home victory versus Washington.

The Philadelphia Phillies have won 10 of their previous 11 games and have pulled to within 8.5 games of NL East Division leading New York. On Monday, Philadelphia 1B Rhys Hoskins walked it off with an RBI single that scored 3B Matt Vierling. SP Aaron Nola allowed two runs over seven innings and did not factor in the decision for the Phillies (31-30).

The Phillies will counter with twenty-eight year old righty Zach Eflin (2-4 3.76 ERA) on Tuesday. Through 55 innings of work, Eflin has allowed just five home runs and owns a solid 1.18 WHIP.

Miami IF Joey Wendle (hamstring) has begun a running progression and is expected back before the end of the month. Through 59 games, Miami ranks 13th in OPS and 16th in runs scored. For the season, Philadelphia ranks 5th in OPS and 5th in runs scored. Take the Phillies to win at home. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia Phillies win 7-5.
