Last Updated: 09/27/2022 at 11:01 PM ET

On Wednesday, the Miami Marlins conclude a two-game series on the road versus the New York Mets. Miami is 63-90 following its 6-1 loss to the Washington Nationals on Sunday. Although Miami lost on Sunday, the Marlins defeated Washington in two of three games over the weekend. Miami is fourth in the National League East and has been eliminated from postseason contention.

First baseman Garrett Cooper is batting .260 to lead Miami and has team highs in RBIs with 50 and on-base percentage at .335. Right fielder Bryan De La Cruz is the leader in home runs with 11 and shortstop Miguel Rojas is the leader in hits with 108. On Wednesday, the Miami Marlins will send Jesus Luzardo to the mound. The left-hander is 3-7 with a 3.58 ERA, 102 Ks and 32 BBs.

New York improved to 97-57 following its 13-4 victory on Sunday over the Oakland Athletics. The Mets have won eight of the last 10. New York has the fourth-best team batting average in baseball with .259 and the Mets are eighth best in team ERA 3.56. New York is first in the National League East, leading the second place Atlanta Braves by one game and the Mets have clinched a postseason berth.

Second baseman Jeff McNeil is .317 to lead New York and has a team-best .375 on base percentage. First baseman Pete Alonso has 39 home runs and 128 RBIs to lead New York in both, while shortstop Francisco Lindor is the team leader in hits with 164. On Wednesday, the New York Mets will send Taijuan Walker to the mound. The right-hander is 12-5 with a 3.53 ERA, 114 Ks and 43 BBs.

New York will defeat Miami on Wednesday in the final game of this short two-game series, but the play here is UNDER. The UNDER has cashed in  14 of Miami's last 21 played on the road as well as in nine of Miami's last 14 played on the road when facing a right-handed starting pitcher. Miami left-hander Jesus Luzardo has had two consecutive strong outings allowing just three runs across 12 ⅔ innings. Final Score Prediction, New York Mets win but our best play is UNDER 4-2.
