Miami is last in the National League East 16 games behind the first-place Atlanta Braves.

The Miami Marlins have not yet announced a starting pitcher for Tuesday's opening game of a three-game series on the road against the New York Mets.
New York improved to 63-67 following a 9-4 victory over the Washington Nationals on Sunday. New York won two out of three against the Nationals but the Mets are third in the National League East 7 ½ games behind the first-place Atlanta Braves. The Mets continue to have a strong team ERA, which is ninth in baseball but New York is 24th in team batting average.
Pete Alonso is batting .262 to lead New York and the Mets first baseman has 29 home runs, 76 RBIs, 115 hits and an on-base percentage of .343 to lead New York in each of the four categories.The Mets have a power problem as New York has hit only 137 home runs in 130 games.
