Miami Marlins at Colorado Rockies 6/1/22 - MLB Picks & Predictions

In the first game of a Wednesday MLB doubleheader, the Miami Marlins will take on the Colorado Rockies from Coors Field. The Marlins (19-27) have dropped eight of their previous ten games and trail NL East Division leading New York by 12 games. On Monday, Miami OF Jesus Sanchez crushed a 496-foot home run during a 7-1 road loss against Colorado.

Twenty-four year old lefty Trevor Rogers (2-5 5.23 ERA) has struggled to find his form this season. The Marlins have dropped four of Rogers’ last five starts and he has given up 14 runs over his last 23 plus frames.

The Colorado Rockies have won 15 of their first 26 home games and are stuck in last place in the NL West Division. During Monday’s home victory, SS Garrett Hampson collected three hits and scored twice to spark the Colorado offense. SP Ryan Feltner (1-1) allowed one run in seven innings to earn the win for the Rockies (22-26).

Twenty-seven year old righty Antonio Senzatela (2-2 4.55 ERA) will come off the injured list to start for the Rockies. Through 29 plus innings, Senzatela has struck out just 11 batters and owns a robust 1.88 WHIP.

Miami 3B Joey Wendle was forced to leave Monday’s game with a hamstring injury and is listed as day-to-day. Through 47 games, Miami ranks 15th in OPS and 25th in runs scored. For the season, Colorado ranks 7th in OPS and 8th in runs scored. Take the over. Final Score Prediction, Colorado Rockies win 7-6.
