New York lost its second straight and ninth in its last 10 games on Wednesday when it beaten by the Atlanta Braves 2-0. The Mets were swept in a short two-game series with the Braves being outscored 10-2.
Arizona had its five-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday losing to the Pittsburgh Pirates 5-4. The loss narrowed the D-Backs lead in the National League West to just two games over the Dodgers. Zack Greinke took the loss to fall to 5-5 on the season. David Peralta hit a two-run home run for Arizona after the ball appeared to be caught and then popped out of Austin Meadows glove and fell over the wall.
