NL East Division rivals will square off on Sunday afternoon, when the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves continue their four-game series from Truist Park. Last night, New York struck out 11 times and had just six hits during a 7-1 road loss. 2B Robinson Cano doubled in the only run for the Mets, who fell to 3-6 on the season.

Twenty-four year old southpaw David Peterson (1-0 3.18 ERA) will make his second career major league start. During an 8-3 road victory against Boston, Peterson gave up two runs and struck out three batters in five plus innings of work.

The defending NL East Champion Atlanta Braves have won six of their first nine games and are starting to flex their muscle. On Saturday, OF Ronald Acuna Jr. and OF Marcel Ozuna each went deep to power the Atlanta offense. SP Touki Toussaint struck out five batters and allowed three hits over four scoreless frames for the Braves.

Twenty-four year old righty Kyle Wright (0-1 16.88 ERA) will make his sixth career major league start for the Braves. Last time out, Wright was tagged for five runs and recorded just eight outs during a 5-2 road loss against Tampa Bay.

New York SP Marcus Stroman (calf) threw a four-inning simulated game on Friday and hopes to rejoin the rotation soon. Through nine games, New York ranks 9th in OPS and 11th in runs scored.
