The New York Mets play the third game of their road series in Georgia on Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves.

His status for Tuesday’s game is not known until he is checked by doctors prior to Monday’s doubleheader with the Mets. Asdrubal Cabrera leads the Mets with a .316 batting average and team highs in hits with 60, in home runs with eight and RBIs with 31. New York has a team batting average of .240 while opposing hitters are averaging .250 at the plate against Mets pitching. On Tuesday, the Mets will send Steven Matz to the mound. The left-hander this season is 2-3 with an ERA of 3.80, 39 RBIs and 19 BBs.

Nick Markakis leads the Braves with a .340 batting average and team high 69 hits. Ozzie Albies is the team leader in home runs with 14, and Freddie Freeman in RBIs with 38. Atlanta has a team batting average of .263 while opposing hitters are averaging .234 at the plate against Braves pitching. On Tuesday, the Braves will send Anibal Sanchez to the mound.
