The Marlins and the Mets are battling here and it will be a battle between a couple of cellar teams in the NL East. Both of these teams are going to be heading to the drawing board next year to try to figure out what went wrong, but also will be looking to have some changes on the way the team is able to perform on the season.

Michael Conforto has been the leader for the Mets on the year so far. Conforto has only been able to hit at a clip of .246 on the season. He has ended up hitting a total of 28 homers and driven in 82 runs on the season so far.

With the Marlins the team has relied on J.T. Realmuto to be the power hitter for the team. He has managed to hit a total of of 21 homers and driven in 73 runs, but has only been able to hit at a clip of .278 on the season. Jose Urena is the pitcher who is taking to the mound for the Marlins. Urena has thrown a total of 168 innings while striking out 128 batters. Urena has managed to get a total of 128 strikeouts and has posted an ERA of 4.07 with an 8-12 record.

Corey Oswalt is the pitcher who is taking the mound for the Mets. Oswalt has been able to throw a total of 60.2 innings on the year and has struck out 41 batters while posting a 3-3 record with an ERA of 6.08.

The Marlins will be playing strong in this game and even with the weaker offense the Marlins are going to be able to take advantage of Oswalt who has been throwing horrible on the year and really is allowing a lot of runners to get in. Look for the Marlins pitching to have some issues, but it will do well enough in this game to shut down the Mets offense. Final Score Prediction, Miami Marlins win in upset 5-3.
