The Miami Marlins open a three-game series on the road in the desert southwest against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Miami ended its five-game losing skid with a 4-2 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Saturday. The Diamondbacks snapped a six-game losing skid on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds. Merrill Kelly tossed seven shutout innings, while Nick Ahmed tripled and came home with the game’s only run on a sacrifice fly hit by Jarrod Dyson. Arizona remains 4 ½ games behind the Chicago Cubs for the second wildcard spot in the National League.
