NL East Division rivals will battle on Monday night, when the Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves begin a series from SunTrust Park. On Sunday, SP Jose Urena and three relievers combined on a two-hitter during a 5-0 victory versus Washington. The Marlins split the four-game series with the Nationals and are 15 games below .500 overall.

Thirty-three year old left Wei-Yin Chen (3-7 5.65 ERA) will take the mound for the Marlins in this matchup. Last time out, Chen allowed three runs over six frames during a 9-3 victory versus Atlanta. The Atlanta Braves are a year ahead of schedule and in contention in a tightly contested NL East Division race. On Sunday, SP Sean Newcomb was fell one out short of a no-hit bid during a 41 victory versus the Dodgers. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Braves, who are tied with Philadelphia in the lost column for the top spot in the division standings.

Twenty-seven year old righty Julio Teheran (7-7 4.42 ERA) will get the nod for the Braves on Monday. Teheran opposed Chen in his last start and was tagged for nine runs in four plus innings.

Atlanta RP Arodys Vizcaino (shoulder) is still 2-3 weeks away from beginning a throwing program. Through 107 games, Miami ranks 20th in batting average and 27th in runs scored.
