An interleague series will begin on Tuesday night, when the Seattle Mariners visit PNC Park to face the Pittsburgh Pirates. On Sunday, Seattle rallied for six runs over the final two innings to score an 11-10 home victory versus Chicago. Tom Murphy walked with the bases loaded to drive in the winning run for the Mariners. 

Twenty-seven year old southpaw Marco Gonzales (15-11 4.30 ERA) will take the mound for the Mariners in this matchup. Last time out, Gonzales allowed two runs in seven innings during a 5-3 home victory versus Cincinnati.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have been a trainwreck since the All-Star Break and have fallen into the basement of the NL Central Division.
