Pierce Johnson got the start for San Diego against Los Angeles giving up one run on one hit in one inning resulting in the loss. The San Diego bullpen struggled in the game giving up four runs on five hits over the final eight innings of play.
San Diego struggled from the plate going a combined 3-30 on the day including 0-4 with runners in scoring position to leave seven men on base. Jurickson Profar provided the only pop for the San Diego lineup with a two run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to drive in all of the San Diego runs.
