Korean Baseball Best Bets 8/4/23 - KBO Picks & Predictions

The KBO is ready to kick off their weekend series on Friday. The games are going to be great and hopefully we will continue to build off of our mark of 2-0 on Thursday. Now, it is time to get a kick off on the weekend with our best bets. With the first game we have the Hanwha Eagles facing off against the KIA Tigers. The second game will be a great game between the SSG Landers taking on the Lotte Giants.

Hanwha Eagles vs KIA Tigers, KIA -190 ; O/U 9.5 

Hanwha comes to the game here sitting on a 38-47-4 record. The Eagles are hitting at a clip of .239 with 60 homers, but have a 3.98 ERA as a team. The Eagles are putting Jang Min-je on the mound and this year he has posted a 2-6 record with a 5.03 ERA, but against KIA is 1-0 with a 0.75 ERA. The Tigers are coming in with a 42-43-1 record. KIA hits at a clip of .264 with 60 homers, but has managed to get a 3.92 ERA. The Tigers are putting Yoon Young-cheol on the mound and this year Yoon is 6-4 with a 3.75 ERA, but against Hanwha is 0-0 with a 1.50 ERA. With the over set at 9.5 and two decent starters on the mound when facing the opponent it will be hard to see the total hitting. Our best bet is on the under as long as the starters maintain their great pitching stride against the opponent, but even then if the starters do not have the game get out of hand the team pitching overall is decent justifying the under 9.5 even more.

SSG Landers vs Lotte Giants, SSG -110 ; O/U 8.5 

SSG comes to the game here sitting on a 50-38-1 record. The Landers team hits at a clip of .259 with 83 homers, but has managed to get a 4.07 ERA. The starter going to the mound for the Landers team is Park Jong-hun who has posted a 2-6 record and a 6.75 ERA, but against Lotte is 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA. Lotte comes to this game here with a record of 42-47-0 on the record this year. The Giants are hitting at a clip of .254 with 41 homers, but has a 4.46 ERA. Lotte is putting Lee In-bok on the mound and he is 1-2 with a 5.14 ERA, but has not had any decision against SSG. In this game the Landers team is small favorites at -128 and the over is 10.5, but with how horrible the pitching has been on the year for the starters the total could go over, but we actually like the Giants to keep the game close and cover the run line.
