Korean Baseball Best Bets 8/1/23 - KBO Picks & Predictions

In what is sure to be a great start to the week the KBO is getting ready to kick off their weekday series. The weekend concluded with us going 1-1, but hey when you go 5-1 on the weekend that is what we would consider a win! Now, it is time to kick off our KBO picks for Tuesday and our first game is showcasing the SSG Landers taking on the KT Wiz. The second game is going to see the Kiwoom Heroes taking on the LG Twins.

SSG Landers vs KT Wiz, KT -114 ; O/U 8.5 

SSG comes to this game here with a 50-35-1 record, but are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Wiz are coming in with a 40-42-1 record, but are 6-4-0 in their last 10 games. The Landers team comes in not hitting the best with a .259 average and 83 homers, but have a 4.07 ERA as a team. The SSG team is putting Kirk McCarty on the mound and he has done good with a 7-3 record and a 2.68 ERA. The Wiz are coming in hitting at a clip of .268 with 50 homers, but have a 4.27 ERA as a team. Heading to the mound for the Wiz is Ko Young-pyo who is 8-5 with a 2.68 ERA on the season. These teams, despite the record, are very evenly matched and neither one of the starters has lost to the other team and has really shut down the offense of the opponent. With that being the case, look for the under in this game.

Kiwoom Heroes vs LG Twins, LG -260 ; O/U 8.5 

Kiwoom comes into the game here with a dismal 41-51-3 record. However, the Twins are coming in with a record of 53-33-2 on the season. The Heroes are coming to this game here with an average of .253 with 39 homers, but have pitched decent at times with a 3.91 ERA. The Kiwoom team is putting Ian McKinney on the mound and he has struggled at times this season with a 1-3 record and a 3.33 ERA. The Twins head to the game here hitting at a clip of .285 with 47 homers, but have a 3.61 ERA. The starter for the Twins is slated to be Im Chan-kyu who is 6-2 with a 3.35 ERA. In this game here the Twins are heavily favored and should definitely be able to take down the much weaker hitting Heroes team easily.
