Korean Baseball Best Bets 7/28/23 - KBO Picks & Predictions

We had a great day on Thursday in the KBO with both of our picks hitting. Now, it is time to start the weekend series in the KBO with our best bets, but these are going to be very weather dependent as the weather is predicted to be cloudy to rainy in 4 out of the 5 KBO games. The first best bet we have is the Hanwha Eagles vs SSG Landers, but our second game is the Lotte Giants vs KIA Tigers.

Hanwha Eagles vs SSG Landers, SSG -148 ; O/U 8.5 

Hanwha heads to the game here sitting in 8th place in the KBO. The Eagles have a 36-43-4 record, but the Landers team is in second place in the KBO with a 48-34-1 record. Hanwha hits at a clip of .241 with 56 homers, but has a 3.96 ERA. Hanwha is handing the ball to Felix Pena to start the game and this season Pena has went 7-5 with a 2.84 ERA. SSG hits at a clip of .260 with 82 homers, but has a 4.12 ER. Roenis Elias is the starter in this game for SSG and this year he has been 4-3 with a 4.02 ERA. This game here will most likely be a back and forth battle, but the offense from SSG we think packs too much power for the Eagles pitching staff to help Hanwha get the win.

Lotte Giants vs KIA Tigers, KIA -138 ; O/U 8.5 

The Giants head to the game in 5th place with a record of 41-42-0 on the year. The Tigers are heading to the game here with a record of 37-42-1 on the year. We do not see that changing in this game here as the Giants are not that much of a power hitting team, but also a horrible pitching team with a team ERA of almost 4.50.
