AL Central Division foes will clash on Wednesday afternoon, when the Cleveland Indians and Minnesota Twins play the rubber game of their series from Target Field. Last night, Jose Ramirez had three hits and drove in a pair of runs to lead Cleveland to a 6-2 victory. Trevor Bauer allowed two runs over six plus frames to earn the win for the Indians.

Thirty-one year old righty Carlos Carrasco (12-5 3.89 ERA) will make his 20th start of the season for the Indians. Cleveland has won each of Carrasco’s last four starts and provided him 53 runs of support over that stretch. The Minnesota Twins are in second place in the division standings, but still were sellers at the trade deadline. Minnesota shipped power-hitting 2B Brian Dozier to the Los Angeles Dodgers for prospects. On Tuesday, the Twins lacked firepower and managed just six hits. Minnesota trails Cleveland by nine full games for the top spot in the division standings.

Minnesota skipper Paul Molitor will turn to twenty-five year old righty Adalberto Mejia (1-0 3.65 ERA) on Wednesday. Through 12 plus innings, Mejia has given up 15 hits and allowed five walks.

Cleveland RP Andrew Miller (knee) is scheduled to make back-to-back rehab appearances later this week. Through 106 games, Cleveland ranks 3rd in batting average and 2nd in runs scored. For the season, Minnesota ranks 19th in batting average and 16th in runs scored. Take the Twins as a nicely priced underdog in the series finale. Final Score Prediction, Minnesota Twins win in uspet 5-4.
