The Cleveland Indians will look to avoid a disappointing series sweep when they take on the Baltimore Orioles from Camden Yards on Sunday afternoon. Yesterday, Cleveland managed just five hits during a 13-0 thrashing at the hands of Baltimore. SP Zach Plesac was chased after surrendering seven runs in three plus innings for the Indians, who are nine games out of first place.

Twenty-four year old righty Shane Bieber (6-3 3.83 ERA) will take the mound for the Indians in this matchup. Through 96 plus innings, Bieber has struck out 122 batters and owns a solid 1.10 WHIP.
The Baltimore Orioles have scored 26 runs in consecutive shutout victories and clinched their first series win since the opening month of the season. On Saturday, Renato Nunez clubbed two of Baltimore’s four home runs on the day. SP Andrew Cashner three seven innings of three-hit ball for the Orioles, who are 34 games below .500 overall.

Baltimore rookie skipper Brandon Hyde will turn to right-hander Gabriel Ynoa (0-5 6.75 ERA) in the series finale. The Orioles have lost each of Ynoa’s last five starts and he has been tagged for 23 runs in his last 23 plus frames.

Cleveland SP Carlos Carrasco (illness) played catch on Monday and it is still uncertain when he will return. Through 82 games, Cleveland ranks 21st in OPS and 22nd in runs scored. For the season, Baltimore ranks 26th in OPS and 27th in runs scored. Take the Indians to salvage the final game of this series. Final Score Prediction, Cleveland Indians win 6-4.
