Houston Astros at New York Yankees 10/23/22 - MLB Picks & Predictions

Game 4 of the ALCS is Sunday night in New York as the New York Yankees again host the Houston Astros. The Astros come into game 4 up 3-0 in the series following a 5-0 win on Saturday.  Cristian Javier got the start for the Astros giving up 1 hit and no runs across 5.1 innings of work to get the win. The Houston bullpen was dominate as well giving up no runs on 2 hits over the final 3.2 innings of work to secure the win.

Offensively Houston did just enough from the plate with six hits and 33 at bats but two hits with runners in scoring position led to five runs. Christian McCormick led the way for the Houston offense with one hit and three at bats to drive in two runs on a two run second inning home run, while Christian Vasquez chipped in with two RBI's as well.

The New York Yankees continued to struggle on Saturday as they dropped their third consecutive game in this series. Gerrit Cole took the loss for New York giving up three runs on five hits across 5 innings of work. The New York bullpen was lights out however allowing only one hit and no runs over the final four innings of the game.

Harrison Bader has been the top bat in the New York lineup this postseason with a .273 batting average to go along with a team leading four home runs. Giancarlo Stanton leads New York with six RBIs, while Anthony Rizzo posts a team leading .414 OBP to go along with a team high six hits.
