The Houston Astros will look to keep their season alive when they battle the Atlanta Braves in Game Five of the World Series from Truist Park. Last night, Houston went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position and left 11 men on base during a crushing 3-2 road loss. 2B Jose Altuve homered and scored both runs in a losing effort for the Astros.

Twenty-seven year old southpaw Framber Valdez (11-6 3.14 ERA) will take the mound for the Astros in this matchup. In the series opener, Valdez was tagged for eight hits and five runs in two innings during a 6-2 home loss.

The Atlanta Braves are undefeated through their first seven home games this postseason and one victory away from their first World Series title since 1995. In Game Four, Atlanta SS Dansby Swanson tied the game in the seventh inning with a solo shot. Pinch hitter Jorge Soler sent the Braves' fans into a frenzy by following Swanson with a game-winning home run. 

The Braves are expected to counter with twenty-five year old lefty Tucker Davidson (0-0 3.60 ERA) on Sunday. Through 20 regular season innings, Davidson struck out 18 batters and posted a solid 1.15 WHIP.

Atlanta SP Charlie Morton suffered a fractured right fibula in Game One and is expected to be ready for spring training. Through 162 games, Houston ranked 2nd in OPS and 1st in runs scored.
