The San Francisco Giants will look to snap a three-game losing streak when they face the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday afternoon. Last night, SP Madison Bumgarner was rocked for eight hits and six runs during a 7-1 loss. Evan Longoria’s eighth inning RBI single was the only offense for the Giants, who fell to two games below .500 overall.

Rookie left-hander Andrew Suarez (4-8 4.40 ERA) will make his 22nd start of the season for the Giants. In his last start, Suarez allowed two hits over six scoreless frames during a 2-1 victory at Los Angeles. The Cincinnati Reds lost 18 of their first 21 games to start the season, but have hung in there for manager Jim Riggleman. On Saturday, SP Matt Harvey took a no-hit bid into the sixth inning and improved his record to 6-7 on the year. All-Star 2B Scooter Gennett had three hits and scored three runs for the Reds, who are 15 games below .500 overall.

Talented right-hander Luis Castillo (6-10 5.04 ERA) has been unable to duplicate his success from a year ago. Castillo has dropped consecutive starts and has been tagged for seven runs over his last 11 frames.

Cincinnati 1B Joey Votto has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a lower right leg contusion. Through 124 games, San Francisco ranks 16th in batting average and 25th in runs scored. For the season, Cincinnati ranks 5th in batting average and 17th in runs scored. Look for San Francisco to score a much needed win on Sunday. Final Score Prediction, San Francisco Giants win 5-3.
