The San Francisco Giants conclude a three-game series at Wrigley Field on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs.
The Cubs beat the Giants in the first game of the series on Friday 6-2 handing the Giants their third straight loss and sixth in their last eight games overall. Kyle Hendricks gave up just one run on two hits across seven innings to lead the Cubs to victory. Ben Zobrist hit a two-run double during the seventh to break a tie. Hendricks is now 4-3 on the season for the Cubs, while Derek Holland fell to 2-6 for the Giants. The Cubs’ bats came back to life. In their prior series against the Indians, the Cubs were outscored 11-1, but they managed four runs in the seventh inning to chase Holland. Mac Williamson was activated and played for the Giants in his first game since April 24.
