The Pittsburgh Pirates are looking to turn things around and have lost 12 of their last 16 games overall. On Sunday, the Pirates were no-hit for eight innings during a 5-0 loss at St. Louis. Pittsburgh is a game above .500 overall and 6.5 games behind Milwaukee for the NL Central Division lead.
The Pirates will turn to twenty-five year old righty Joe Musgrove (2-0 0.64 ERA) in the series opener. Through 14 innings this season, Musgrove has struck out 12 batters and owns a solid 1.14 WHIP.
