Thirty-nine year old southpaw Rich Hill (4-1 2.45 ERA) will take the mound for the Dodgers in this matchup. In 58 plus innings this season, Hill struck out 72 batters and posted a solid 1.13 WHIP.
The Washington Nationals won 50 of their 81 home games during the regular season and need to win Game Four to extend their season. On Sunday, Patrick Corbin was unsuccessful in a relief appearance in which he allowed six runs and recorded just two outs. Juan Soto started the Nationals off right with a two-run first inning blast.
The Nationals will turn to three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (11-7 2.92 ERA) in Game Four. Scherzer ranked third in the National League with 243 strikeouts and fourth with a 1.03 WHIP.
