Lorenzo Cain had two hits for the Brewers, who lead St. Louis by two games for the NL Central Division lead.

The Brewers will counter with crafty southpaw Brent Suter (3-3 4.72 ERA) in the series finale. Last time out, Suter allowed one run and struck out six batters over five plus innings during an 8-3 victory at Minnesota.
