In Sunday afternoon MLB action, the Colorado Rockies and the Washington Nationals will wrap up their weekend series from the nation’s capital. The Rockies (21-25) have dropped 14 of their first 21 road games and are sitting in last place in the NL West Division standings. In the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, SP Chad Kuhl (4-2) allowed two runs over six plus innings to lead Colorado to a 3-2 road victory.

Twenty-nine year old lefty Kyle Freeland (1-4 4.60 ERA) will head to the hill for the Rockies in this contest. Colorado has won Freeland’s last two starts and he has allowed four runs over his last ten plus frames.

The Washington Nationals are a disappointing ten games below .500 at home and are stuck in the NL East Division cellar. In the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, OF Victor Robles homered and drove in six runs to power Washington to a 13-7 home victory. 1B Josh Bell added two hits and scored three runs for the Nationals (17-31).

Talented right-hander Josiah Gray (4-4 5.44 ERA) is still trying to figure things out at the major league level. In his last start, Gray was tagged for seven runs and recorded just nine outs during a 9-4 home loss versus Los Angeles.

Colorado 3B Kris Bryant has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a lower back strain. Through 46 games, Colorado ranks 7th in OPS and 10th in runs scored.
