On Wednesday, the Colorado Rockies will play the second game of a three-game series on the road in South Florida against the Miami Marlins. Miami dropped to 25-34 following a 5-3 loss to the Boston Red Sox on Monday. The Marlins played on the road at Fenway on Monday to make up a rained out game from earlier this season. With the loss, Miami has lost nine of its last 10 and the Marlins are last in the National League East 7 ½ games behind the first place New York Mets. Miami continues to struggle scoring runs as the Marlins have scored only 225 this season which is 25th in baseball.

Corey Dickerson is batting .264 to lead Miami. First baseman Jesus Aguilar is leading Miami in home runs with 12, RBIs with 44 and hits with 53. Jazz Chisholm Jr is the leader for Miami and on-base percentage at .331. Miami has not yet announced its starting pitcher for Wednesday's second game of their three-game series at home against the Colorado Rockies.

The Marlins are struggling as Miami has fallen to last place in the National League East after losing nine of its last 10. Miami has also struggled of late against Colorado losing five of the last seven between the two. Colorado has won five of its last seven overall and the Rockies have improved at the plate with a team batting average (.244) that is eighth in baseball.
