The Chicago Cubs snapped a 13-game home losing streak with their win on Monday and have fallen 22 games back in the NL Central Division standings. On Monday, OF Rafael Ortega homered and scored a pair of runs to spark the Chicago offense. OF Ian Happ had a three-hit night and scored a run for the Cubs (55-72).
Chicago manager David Ross will turn to right-hander Zach Davies (6-10 5.04 ERA) in the series finale. The Cubs have dropped Davies’ last five starts and he has given up 25 runs (22 ER) over his last 24 innings of work.
