The Cleveland Guardians play game two of their three-game series on the road Saturday against the Minnesota Twins. Cleveland is 15-15 and the Guardians had their Wednesday game against the Chicago White Sox postponed due to an outbreak of covid on the coaching staff of Cleveland. No new cases of COVID were found following additional tests and the series is on for this weekend against Minnesota.

First baseman Owen Miller is batting .333 to lead Cleveland. Third baseman Jose Ramirez has seven home runs, 30 RBIs, 33 hits and an on-base percentage of .402 to lead the Guardians. On Saturday, Cleveland will send Shane Bieber to the mound. The right-hander is 1-2 with a 4.13 ERA, 29 Ks and 9 BBs.

Minnesota dropped to 18-14 following its 5-0 loss on Thursday to the Houston Astros. Minnesota was swept in its three-game series with the Astros and the Twins have lost five of the last eight. Minnesota remains in first place in the American League Central, two games ahead of both the Cleveland Guardians and the Chicago White Sox.

Shortstop Carlos Correa is batting .255 to lead Minnesota and designated hitter Byron Buxton has a team high nine home runs. Infielder Jorge Polanco is the leader in RBIs with 19, hits with 28 and on-base percentage at .344.  Minnesota has not yet announced its starting pitcher for Saturday's matchup at home against the Cleveland Guardians.
