Cincinnati Reds Prop Bets - Thursday 6/8/23

Last Updated: 06/08/2023 at 11:10 AM ET

The Los Angeles Dodgers invade Great American Ballpark again to take on the Reds of Cincinnati on Thursday afternoon. The Dodgers come into this contest with a record of 35-27, while the Reds sit at 29-33. The Reds have surprisingly taken the first two games from Los Angeles in dramatic fashion. The Redlegs walked-off both games in the 9th inning to pull the upsets. The Redlegs will be looking for the sweep against the Dodgers on Thursday under God's lights. The Dodgers are sending out Clayton Kershaw who is 7-4 with an ERA of 3.25. The Reds are countering with Graham Ashcraft who is 3-4 with an ERA of 6.64.

Pick: Elly De La Cruz to hit a triple

De La Cruz has lived up to the hype through his first two games of his career. He is 3 for 7 in his young career with a triple. He could have had a triple in his first game, but settled for a double since there weren't any outs in the inning. His electric speed coupled with his quick bat should make the perfect recipe for a triple at home.

Pick: Graham Ashcraft to not record the win

Ashcraft has really struggled as of late. He has dropped 3 out of his last 4 decisions, and did so in dramatic fashion. He was pinned with the loss in his last outing when he gave up 10 earned runs in just 4 innings of work. Unfortunately for the Reds, Ashcraft's last quality outing was back in late April. Until Ashcraft can find it, continue to fade him.

Pick: Will Benson over 0.5 hits

Benson batted lead-off yesterday for his first time in his career. Although he has a bit of a long swing for my liking in that spot, he went 2 for 5. Oh, and he had the 2-run jack that walked-off his Reds over the Dodgers. Benson was 0 for his first 18 Major League at-bats, but since then, has handled the lumber well. It seems he's starting to settle in and find his swing. Expect at least one base-knock from the Reds' lanky right fielder.
