The Reds are heading into the game here after getting a 8-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on the game on Friday night. The game actually showcased the power potential that the Reds offense has on the year and how good the Reds could actually be. The Brewers for their part could have some problems in the year as the Brewers pitching came off the rails against the Reds.

On the year Cincinnati has not had the strongest offense on the year hitting at a clip of .198 with 79 hits. The Reds have produced 52 hits and managed to crank out 18 homers. With Milwaukee the team has ended up getting an average of .220 this year and have managed to get 74 hits this year. The Brewers have ended up getting only 39 runs this year and have not had a lot of power production with 8 homers.

Sonny Gray is slated to be the starter for the Reds and he could be a Cy Young candidate. Gray has posted a 3-0 record and a .96 ERA. He has thrown a total of 18.2 innings with 8 hits allowed, 28 strikeouts, but has walked only 5 batters this season.

Brandon Woodruff is coming to the game here to pitch for the Brewers. He has posted a 1-1 record with a 2.08 ERA. Woodruff has thrown a total of 17.1 innings on the year and has allowed 13 hits, but 3 walks and struck out a total of 21 batters

The game here will be one that is going to be more along the lines of a pitchers battle. The difference is the fact that Gray is coming in pitching great and hardly gives up any runs. The Brewers are countering with Woodruff and that is going to help the Brewers out as he has done really well on the year so far. Look for Gray to do better in pitching for this game and that allows the Reds to bring home a close win. Final Score Prediction, Cincinnati Reds win 4-2.
