Kaufman Stadium will host the final game of the year Sunday afternoon between the Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Royals. Dallas Keuchel got the start for Chicago in game one of this series giving up six runs on seven hits across three innings of work resulting in the loss. The Chicago bullpen came on for the final five innings of the game allowing one run on five hits.
Offensively the White Sox struggled from the plate with only six hits in the game including 1-6 with runners in scoring position to leave seven men on base. Leury Garcia and Gavin Sheets led the way for the Chicago offense with one RBI apiece to drive in all the runs for Chicago.
The Kansas City Royals come into this game 60-74 on the year after the game 1 win Friday night. The Kansas City off it's did well from the plate going a combined 12-35 including 6-15 with runners in scoring position. Michael Taylor showed the most production for Kansas City going 3-4 on the day with three RBI's. Adalberton Mondesi chipped in for the offense with two RBI's as well.
Carlos Hernandez got the start for Kansas City giving up two runs on five hits across six innings of work resulting in the win. Kansas City used three different pitchers over the final three innings of the game combining to give up one hit and no runs to close out the game.
