The Chicago White Sox are supposed to be there when the playoffs approach and the dust settles in the American League. Right now the Sox aren't all the way there, but they are traveling. Chicago reeled off a 12-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers this past Saturday. Chicago dropped 4 and 7 runs respectively in the 3rd and 4th innings. The White Sox never looked back.
Detroit is another high powered team that expects to be making a World Series run later on in the year. Detroit has started off the season with a 9-2 record, looking perfect for the first two weeks of the year. Detroit does have cracks on their team but they are small and not so easy to exploit.
The White Sox will lean on the big bats in the heart of their order. Jose Abreu is one of the best sluggers in the game and his grand slam this lsat game surely put the exclamation mark next to that fact. Adam LaRoche hit his third home run of the year and everyone else got in on the action.
Detroit's big bats slowed down a little bit but JD Martinez still got his swings in, hitting a big bomb. Detroit has only scored eight runs in their last four games, and that number will have to change coming up.
