Beautiful Camden Yards will play host to a Thursday night MLB clash between the Chicago White Sox and the Baltimore Orioles. The White Sox (63-61) have split their previous ten games and trail AL Central Division leading Cleveland by four full games. Last night, OF Gavin Sheets had three hits and drove in three runs to lead Chicago to a 5-3 road victory against Baltimore. 

Thirty-five year old righty Lance Lynn (3-5 5.30 ERA) will make his 14th start of the season for the White Sox. Through 71 plus frames, Lynn has struck out 75 batters and owns a respectable 1.27 WHIP.

The Baltimore Orioles have won 36 of their 60 home games and trail Seattle by 2.5 games in the race for the final AL Wild Card spot. On Wednesday, OF Austin Hays hit a two-run blast in the ninth inning for a Baltimore lineup that was limited to six hits. SP Spenser Watkins (4-4) gave up two runs in six innings and took the loss for the Orioles, who fell to 64-59 on the year.

The Orioles will counter with thirty-one year old righty Jordan Lyles (9-9 4.61 ERA) in the series finale. Baltimore has won four of Lyles’ last five starts and he has allowed 11 runs over his last 26 innings.
