In Wednesday night baseball on ESPN,  the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals will battle from Busch Stadium. The Cubs (47-48) have dropped 31 of their first 50 road games and are tied with St. Louis for third place in the NL Central Division standings. Last night, Chicago rallied for six runs in the ninth innings to score a stunning 7-6 road victory against St. Louis.

Thirty-one year old righty Kyle Hendricks (12-4 3.65 ERA) will take the mound for the Cubs in this matchup. Chicago has won Hendricks’ last two starts and he has allowed three runs over his last 12 plus frames.
