The Philadelphia Phillies have won three straight games and are staying in contention in the NL East standings. On Monday, Aaron Altherr came through with a two-run walkoff double past a diving Marcell Ozuna to give the Phillies the win. Philadelphia is six games above .500 overall and 3,5 games behind first place Atlanta.

Philadelphia skipper Gabe Kapler will turn to right-hander Vince Velasquez (5-7 4.74 ERA) on Tuesday. In his last start, Velasquez allowed two runs over six plus frames during a 9-3 victory versus Colorado.

St. Louis SS Paul DeJong (hand) hit off a tee on Saturday and hopes to return later this month. Through 70 games, St. Louis ranks 16th in batting average and 21st in runs scored.
