SP Jack Flaherty gave up four runs in four innings and took the loss for the Cardinals.
Twenty-five year old righty Dakota Hudson (16-7 3.35 ERA) will take the mound for the Cardinals in this matchup. Last time out, HUdson allowed four runs in four plus innings during a 5-4 home victory versus Atlanta.
The Washington Nationals have allowed just two runs through the first three games of this series and are one victory away from their first World Series trip in franchise history. In Game Three, SP Stephen Strasburg struck out 12 batters in seven innings to earn the win. Howie Kendrick had three hits and drove in three runs to lead the offense.
Thirty year old left-hander Patrick Corbin (14-7 3.25 ERA) will take the ball for the Nationals on Tuesday. Through 202 regular season innings, Corbin struck out 238 batters and posted a solid 1.18 WHIP.
