The NLCS between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Nationals will shift to the nation’s capital for Game Three. On Saturday, St. Louis managed just three hits and struck out 12 times during a 3-1 home loss. SP Adam Wainwright struck out 11 batters in seven plus innings and took the loss for the Cardinals.

Twenty-three year old righty Jack Flaherty (11-8 2.75 ERA) will take the mound for the Cardinals in this matchup. Last time out, Flaherty struck out eight batters and allowed one run during a 13-1 series clinching road victory against Atlanta. 

The Washington Nationals have allowed just one run through the first two games of this best-of-seven series and now return home in firm control.
