Brewers at Dodgers 10/17/18 - MLB Picks & Predictions

Game Five of the NLCS will take place on Wednesday afternoon, when the Milwaukee Brewers square off against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Milwaukee was victorious in Game One and Game Three in this series but failed to come through during last night’s 2-1 loss in 13 innings. Ryan Braun delivered hits in three of his six at-bats for the Brewers.

Thirty-one year old southpaw Wade Miley (5-2 2.57 ERA) will take the mound for the Brewers in this matchup. Through ten plus scoreless innings this postseason, Miley has allowed just five hits and owns a ridiculous 0.58 WHIP. Game Four of the best-of-seven series lasted five hours and 15 minutes before Cody Bellinger finally put an end to things with a walk-off single that scored Manny Machado. Brian Dozier started for the first time in this series and got the Dodgers on the board with a first-inning run scoring single. The Los Angeles bullpen tossed eight scoreless frames and allowed just five hits.

Los Angeles skipper Dave Roberts will turn to three-time Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw (9-5 2.73 ERA) in Game Four. In the series opener, Kershaw was tagged for five rus (four earned) in three innings during a 6-5 loss.

Milwaukee C Stephen Vogt (shoulder) said that he hopes to play in 2019.. Through 162 regular season games, Milwaukee ranked 12th in batting average and 12th in runs scored. For the season, Los Angeles ranked 14th in batting average and 5th in runs scored. Take Los Angeles to move one win away from a World Series trip with a win behind Kershaw. Final Score Prediction, Los Angeles Dodgers win 4-2.
