Last Updated: 08/10/2020 at 7:49 AM ET

The Monday MLB schedule will get underway with a matchup between the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies from Citizens Bank Park. On Sunday, Atlanta swept a doubleheader against Philadelphia by 8-0 and 5-2 final scores. In Game Two, OF Ronald Acuna went deep twice and drove in three runs as part of a four-hit day.

Talented left-hander Sean Newcomb (0-0 6.57 ERA) will make his fourth start of the year for the Braves. Through 12 plus innings, Newcomb has given up 14 hits and surrendered two home runs.

The Philadelphia Phillies are still getting into the swing of things, after missing a week of action due to COVID-19. In Game One of Sunday’s doubleheader, OF Andrew McCutchen drove in both runs with a ground out and a sacrifice fly. The Phillies managed just three hits and fell to a game below .500 overall.

Philadelphia manager Joe Girardi will give the nod to right-hander Aaron Nola (0-1 3.97 ERA) in the series finale. Last time out, Nola struck out 12 batters and allowed one run across six frames during a 3-1 home loss versus the Yankees.

Atlanta 2B Ozzie Albies is currently on the 10-day injured list with a wrist injury. Through 17 games, Atlanta ranks 17th in OPS and 6th in runs scored. Philadelphia counters with an offense that ranks 2nd in OPS and 26th in runs scored. Take the Braves to steal the series finale as a nicely priced underdog. Final Score Prediction, Atlanta Braves win 5-4.
