The Braves will be looking to overcome the 10-4 loss to open the season up to the Phillies. However, it could be a challenge for the Braves who are definitely one of those teams that has the potential to be a contender on the year, but has to put it together for them to reach that level. Matt Joyce was able to do the damage for the Braves in the game as he hit a homer, but drove in 2 runs in the game.

Heading to the mound for the Braves in this game will be Bryse Wilson. Wilson for his part is fairly young at 21 years old, but has a 6.43 career ERA and has only won 1 game, but has struck out 6 batters in his career. The Phillies will be looking to continue to have the same level of production they had on opening day in this game here. The Phillies offense was in tune with everything that they could do and the Phillies were able to pick up quite a bit of momentum when it came to the way the team had been playing on the year from last year. Rhys Hoskins was able to drive in a total of 4 runs in the opening day game for the Phillies and Andrew McCutchen ended up hitting a homer.

Nick Pivetta is the pitcher who will take the mound for the Phillies. Pivetta is a veteran starter and at 26 has already posted a 15-24 record in his career. He has struck out 328 batters on the season and has posted a 5.33 ERA.

The Phillies are looking strong to open the season and that should continue in this game here as the Phillies are able to run the game and control the pitching from the mound as the youth of Wilson leads to him getting frazzled early on. The Braves hitters still struggle to find the sweet swing in this game and that cost them the game. Final Score Prediction, Philadelphia Phillies win 6-2.
