The Braves are coming into the final week of the season with a playoff bid looming and an opponent that could be better than anything they have faced in the NL East. The good news is the Mets are one of the worst teams in the NL East and only the Marlins could be worse in the division and this could allow the Braves some time to rest some of the regulars to get them ready for the playoff battles.

The Braves are coming into this game with an average of 4.74 runs being score per game, but are hitting at a clip of .258 on the season so far. However, the Braves are also going to have a decent team ERA of 3.77.

With the Mets the team has struggled with an average that sits at .236 on the season and only 4.25 runs per game. The Mets pitching is not that good either with a team ERA of 4.17. Touki Toussaint is the pitcher who will be climbing to the mound for the Braves in this game. On the season so far, Toussaint has been able to throw a total of 23 innings and struck out 23 batters while posting a 2-1 record with a 4.30 ERA.

The Mets are coutering with Noah Syndergaard who has thrown a total of 139.1 innings on the year and struck out 144 batters while posting a 12-4 record and has an ERA of 3.36.

The Braves are going to be take advantage of the playoffs coming up and rest some star players. Not to mention the Mets are sending out Syndergaard who has been blowing the doors off the opponents on the year and it is easy to see the Mets pick up a decent upset win over the Braves here. Final Score Prediction, New York Mets win 4-2.
