Tampa Bay is 82-48 following a 12-8 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. Joey Wendle hit two home runs in the victory including a grand slam while driving in six runs. Tampa Bay swept Baltimore in the three-game series and the Rays have won seven straight. Tampa Bay is first in the American League East with a six-game lead over the second-place New York Yankees.
Randy Arozarena is batting .274 to lead Tampa Bay and the left fielder has a team-high 119 hits. Second baseman Brandon Lowe is the leader in home runs with 30 and designated hitter Austin Meadows is the leader in RBIs with 91.
