Blue Jays at Tigers 6/3/18 - MLB Picks & Predictions

In Sunday afternoon MLB action, the Toronto Blue Jays and Detroit Tigers will wrap up their series from Comerica Park. The Blue Jays have lost five straight games and have allowed 34 runs in the process. On Saturday, Yangervis Solarte connected on his 12th home run of the season during a 7-4 loss.

Talented twenty-five year old righty Aaron Sanchez (2-5 4.77 ERA) will get the nod for the Blue Jays. Sanchez is winless in his last five starts and has allowed 15 runs over his last 22 plus frames. Not much was expected of the Detroit Tigers entering the year, but they are currently just two games below .500 overall. On Saturday, Nicholas Castellanos and John Hicks drove in a pair of runs each to spark the Detroit offense. Jeimer Candelario hit his ninth home run for the Tigers, who trail Cleveland by 2.5 games for the AL Central Division lead.

2016 Rookie of the Year Michael Fulmer (2-4 4.60 ERA) will start for the Tigers on Sunday. Last time out, Fulmer was tagged for five runs in just three plus innings during a 9-2 home loss versus the Angels.

Toronto 3B Josh Donaldson was placed on the 10-day disabled list with left calf tightness. Through 58 games, Toronto ranks 29th in batting average and 10th in runs scored. For the season, Detroit ranks 6th in batting average and 15th in runs scored. Take the Tigers to get the sweep. Final Score Prediction, Detroit Tigers win 5-3.
