Twenty-six year old righty Aaron Sanchez (3-5 4.95 ERA) will make his 17th start of the season for the Blue Jays. Control has been a major issue for Sanchez, who has walked 47 batters in just 83 plus innings of work.
The Miami Marlins will be happy to host Toronto after playing eight straight games against three of the top teams in the majors. On Wednesday, Miami surrendered 11 runs during the seventh inning of a 14-6 loss at Boston. The Marlins have lost three straight games and are 28 games below .500 overall.

The Marlins will turn to twenty-nine year old righty Dan Straily (5-6 4.35 ERA) in the series opener. Last time out, Straily tossed six scoreless innings and allowed just three hits during a 1-0 victory versus Atlanta.

Miami 3B Martin Prado (quad) is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Saturday. Through 133 games, Toronto ranks 19th in batting average and 16th in runs scored.
