Best MLB Props - Monday 8/1/22

The first day of the new month brings a light day in the MLB with only ten games across the board. Despite only a few games on Monday we still have a large quantity of MLB props to choose from.

The top props we focus in on one day is for a couple of elite hitters to start the new month with a bang.

MLB Player Props for Monday August 1st

Alonso 

The New York Mets are one of the better teams in the National League currently atop of the National League east standings. Pete Alonso is the best player for New York and has had a huge hand in the success of the Mets this season.

Alonso is carrying a .276 batting average on the year coming into Monday, while also leading New York with 26 home runs and 85 RBI's. Alonso bats in the heart of the New York lineup and will have multiple chances at the plate on Monday to drive in a run.

Look for Alonso's teammates to get on base in front of him as he will do the job at the plate to increase his team leading RBI total.

Rizzo 

Despite the loss on Sunday the New York Yankees are the best team in baseball and will look to bounce back at home on Monday. Anthony Rizzo is the starting first baseman for New York and has found success this season in the middle of the Yankees lineup.

Rizzo will come up multiple times on Monday in big spots as his teammates will be on base. Rizzo currently has 62 RBIs on the year and will do enough on Monday to increase that total at home.

Look for Anthony Rizzo to drive in a minimum of one RBI as the Yankees lineup will feast on a poor Seattle pitcher.
