Best MLB Prop Bets - Thursday 7/21/22

With the second half of the MLB season getting underway on Thursday the MLB brings a light day of six games on the board. Despite only a few games there is still a plethora of MLB props to choose from.

The top props we look at on Thursday is for an elite hitter to stay hot to start the second half of the season and a pitching struggle in game two of a doubleheader.

MLB Player Props for Thursday July 21st

Garrett Cooper Over 2+ Bases (+145)

Detroit Tigers/Oakland Athletics Over .5 1st Inning Runs (-138)

Coop

Garrett Cooper opens the second half of the MLB season as the best hitter on the Miami Marlins roster. Cooper carries a .283 batting average to go along with a team leading 82 hits on the year.

Look for Cooper and the entire Marlins lineup to find lots of success against a struggling Jon Gray on Thursday. Cooper will get on base multiple times on Thursday to help his team get a win to start the second half of the season.

Take Garrett Cooper to go over 2+ Bases as he can bust this prop with one swing of his bat.

Pick: Garrett Cooper Over 2+ Bases

YRFI

Game two of a doubleheader on Thursday between the Detroit Tigers and the Oakland Athletics will see two abysmal pitchers square off. Both offenses will be warmed after game one on Thursday. Garrett Hill will be on the mound for Detroit carrying a 5.73 ERA to go along with a 1-1 record.

The Oakland Athletics will trot out Frankie Montas Thursday in game two against Detroit. Montas has been one of the worst pitchers in the American League this season with a 3.26 era after giving up 11 total homeruns on the year.

Look four runs to come easily in the first inning on Thursday as two bad pitchers take the mound.

Pick: Detroit Tigers/Oakland Athletics Over .5 1st Inning Run
